Overview

E.P.A.S.S. is the Emergency Personnel Access Safety System. EPASS has been specifically engineered and designed to provide the end user with a rapid response, multi functional ventilation stopping.

Using the Ventstop Cube profile that is designed to facilitate most drive/drift/tunnel/ horizontal and vertical voids, we have now added an access through the stopping, with a variety of entry and exit covers to maintain blocking integrity.

The internal access tunnel is designed to withstand a catastrophic failure of the main EPASS unit, should it ever occur. This means the unit is failsafe from self entrapment of personnel whilst inside the tunnel if there was a major collapse of the main unit. To compliment this and expand on the functional use, a transition section has been added to facilitate various foaming machines and other types of fire fighting aids.

The EPASS comes with it's own transportation/storage unit (with forklift facilities) that doubles as a solid and secure base under the access tunnel. The EPASS has the capability of being in full operational mode in under 20 minutes once it has been delivered to the desired location.

The EPASS comes as a complete kit consisting of.

  • VentStop with access.
  • Front and rear regulators/doorways.
  • Poly composite HDPE access arches.
  • Pressure controller with pre-filter.
  • Product specific Venturi inflation device.
  • Carrier/Storage unit with forklift options.

The EPASS can be designed to clients requirements, and is also available in F.R.A.S. fabrics with or without heat shielding options.
